A Christmas celebration and a fond farewell...
Some mixed emotions for the Laurus team this Christmas; we decided to ditch the mass produced Christmas lunch option and go for a multicultural festive celebration – with a meal at what must surely be the UK’s best and most authentic Moroccan restaurant, Al Fassia in Windsor, followed by a typically English panto, Aladdin with Emu in the starring role! Following the fun and frolics we had to get a bit serious and wave off Sarah G on her maternity leave..... the baby is due 2nd Feb so watch this space for an update...
Curves issues a new report proving how it is helping women get fit for life
Curves, the ladies only fitness franchise has significantly improved the health of over 3000 women as part of a 6 week initiative to support MoreActive4Life. Curves pledged £½ million to get women exercising in its clubs via a one off, discounted six week membership. The initiative yielded some amazing results; collectively the 3,000 ladies worked out a total of 30,000 times and lost an average of 6 inches each massively reducing their body fat. 62% of the ladies who participated signed up as members – a huge achievement, well done Curves!

Ri2k and Mischa Barton press day...
We held a combined press day at the London showroom to showcase the new S/S collections for each brand. Despite the rotten weather we had a great press turnout including Marie Claire, Look, Celebs on Sunday and You magazine, and we got some great feedback;
‘Amazing, loved both collections A LOT! Will be featuring it soon!’
Charlotte Adsett, Celebs on Sunday
‘Lovely collection, how anyone makes their mind up when there’s so many gorgeous bags to choose from!’
Caroline Baker, Daily Mail supplement - You magazine
